…Over the course of the game’s final 25:54, Mooney outscored Ursuline – 31-0 – to take a 31-7 victory. The Cardinals outgained Ursuline, 334-134. Jon Saadey ran for 129 yards (TD) as he also threw for 85 more and a score through the air.

Game Notes
The Irish trailed Boardman last Friday – 21-10 – before scoring the game’s final 13 points including Kimauni Johnson’s 4-yard touchdown run with only 20 seconds remaining to even Ursuline’s record up at 4-4 and to snap their two-game slide.

Ursuline has advanced to the post-season in 10 of the last 15 years.

Mooney has qualified for week eleven in 11 of the last 12 years.

The Cardinals won the last two meetings with Ursuline by a combined score of 31-7. The Irish took the previous three matchups.

In their last outing, Mooney held off the Harding rally to secure a home 27-19 win last Thursday. Jack Lynch tallied 142 yards rushing and two scores as he also completed a pair of passes for 27 yards. Ray Anderson led the Cardinals on the ground with 154 yards.

Mooney is seeking their third straight win.

According to JoeEitel.com, both schools are in the District IV, Region 11 playoffs (as of today) but neither are schedule to host a post-season game in the first round.
