Rich Center opens Enrichment Center for Life Skills

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – The Rich Center for Autism’s Chris M. Enrichment Center for Life Skills opened at Youngstown State University.

The center will teach older autistic children life skills. Critical time for transition planning is in the early years of middle school through the first years following high school, and the new center is geared to make that time easier.

“This is our first stand-alone space where we’re not affiliated with another school. We’re really excited about that,” said Melanie Carfolo, executive director of the Rich Center for Autism.

The Rich Center provides year round therapy, education and support to 75 students at no cost to the families.
