CANFIELD, OHIO (WYTV) – Arby’s on Talsman Drive and State Route 224 was originally built in 1983. That building was demolished last spring and rebuilt on the same property.

On Thursday, the restaurant held its grand reopening and ribbon cutting ceremony.

The new building is designed with a “homey look,” complete with wood, brick and a large fireplace.

Jim Pipino, president of the Niles Restaurant Business, Inc., explained why.

“The architecture is a result of being in the Canfield Historical District,” he said. “We worked very closely with the district committee to make sure that we met their requirements and met Arby’s requirements.”

Construction on the building was originally scheduled for 2017, however, it was moved up to coincide with the Route 224 road project near the restaurant.
