CANFIELD, Ohio (WYTV) – Police released the name of a driver who died in an accident in Canfield Tuesday.
Tesla Habeger, 23, of Mineral Ridge, died when the car she was driving went left of center on Raccoon Road and collided head-on with another vehicle.
The Mahoning County Coroner’s Office stated that Habeger died from head, neck and chest injuries.
Habeger’s Chevrolet Cobalt burst into flames. Witnesses were able to pull the passenger from the burning car but could not get to Habeger.
The coroner said identification was aided by the presence of a unique tattoo on Habeger’s chest.
The extent of the passenger’s injuries is not known. Police have not released that person’s name.
The driver of the other vehicle was identified as Frank Costa, 75, of Canfield. He sustained minor injuries.
