CANFIELD, Ohio (WYTV) – The Mahoning County OVI Task Force announced Thursday that they will hold two sobriety checkpoints over the weekend.
In a press release, the group stated that the checkpoints will be held somewhere in Mahoning County on Friday, Nov. 6 and Saturday, Nov. 7.
The release did not announce the specific locations of the checkpoints.
Officers will be looking for alcohol and drug impairment during the checkpoints and will also be conducting saturation patrols, according to the release.
The Mahoning County OVI Task Force, Ohio State Highway Patrol, Ohio Department of Transportation and Mahoning County Emergency Management Agency are participating in the organization of the checkpoint.
