Hubbard Township crash sends at least one person to hospital

HUBBARD TWP., Ohio (WYTV) – At least one person involved in a crash at the intersection of Chestnut Ridge Road and Brookfield Road in Hubbard Township was taken to the hospital Thursday afternoon.

The crash involved a black 1999 Mazda Protege, according to a Hubbard Township Police call log. Witnesses at the scene say the Mazda ran into the back of a utility van in the intersection, but accident investigators have not confirmed that information.

Police were called out to the scene around 2:30 p.m., and at least one person was transferred to St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown by ambulance. A call log also says that an infant in one of the vehicles had a severe head laceration.

The drivers and passengers involved have not yet been identified.
