Youngstown convicted gang member indicted on murder charge

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – A Youngstown man already in prison has now been indicted for a homicide five years ago

Prosecutors say Frankie Hudson, Jr. was a juvenile when he took part in the robbery and murder of Christopher Weston in December 2010. The victim had been working as a store clerk inside the Breadon Market on Youngstown’s south side.

Police originally believed it was a botched robbery and found no money was stolen from the store. Weston was found with his pockets turned inside out and his wallet lying open next to him.

Hudson is currently in prison for convictions in relation to being part of Youngstown’s H-Block gang.

In June, Hudson was found not guilty in the murder of Joshua Davis, who was shot in 2011 during what police called a drug deal on Willis Avenue. He was, however, found guilty on a weapons charge and was sentenced to three years in prison. He had previously been sentenced to nine years in prison on a gang-related charge.
