Youngstown man in critical condition after being struck by car

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – State Highway Patrol has identified a man who was struck by a car in Austintown on Monday night.

The man, 61-year-old Frank Puli, Jr., of Youngstown was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital following the crash. He was listed in critical condition on Tuesday night.

The crash happened around 9 p.m. on Meridian Road near Leharps Road.

Puli was struck in the roadway by a 2004 Buick Rendezvous, which was traveling southbound on Meridian Road.

The driver of the Buick was identified as 29-year-old Cachet Murray, of Austintown. Murray and a passenger in the vehicle were uninjured.
