MOUNT GILEAD, Ohio (WCMH) – Former Buckeye running back Maurice Clarett was cited over the weekend for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, according to court records.
Clarett was pulled over Sunday in Morrow County by troopers from the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The former Buckeye was cited for OVI and a turn signal violation.
According to the citation, Clarett refused to take a breath test. He is scheduled to appear in court on January 7.
Clarett was released from probation in February of 2015 after serving three and a half years in prison for robbery.
In the years since his prison release, Clarett has become a motivational speaker, making several appearances in Youngstown, and he now runs an industrial cleaning company.
