Former Canfield superintendent dies

CANFIELD, Ohio (WYTV) – A former superintendent of the Canfield Local School District has died.

Dante Zambrini died suddenly at his home Monday afternoon. He was 61.

Zambrini retired from Canfield Schools in 2012. He then took a job as interim vice president of Eastern Gateway Community College.

He was a graduate of Ursuline High School and earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Youngstown State University, according to Zambrini’s obituary.

Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home and from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday at St. Michael Church in Canfield. The service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Michael’s Church, and burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
