HOWLAND, Oh. (WYTV) – Crews worked early Monday morning to control a fire at a house in Trumbull County.
Firefighters came to a house on Micawber Road in Howland Township about 3 a.m. Monday.
Most of the flames were contained on the second floor.
A man and a woman were sleeping in the house and got out safely, according to a press release from the Howland Fire Department. One of the couple’s dogs died from smoke inhalation.
Twenty-five firefighters from the Cortland, Vienna, Brookfield and the Youngstown Air Base fire departments helped fight the fire.
