Sharon Middle School student charged for having knife

SHARON, Pa. (WYTV) – A 13-year-old Sharon Middle School student is in trouble after police say he showed a folding knife to another kid in the hall on Tuesday.

The student never made a threat, never opened the blade and stuck the knife back in his pocket. But he was taken to the principal’s office when administrators were informed of the knife by another student. At the office, the knife fell out of his pocket when emptying them.

The boy has been charged with possessing a weapon on school property.
