YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – The man police from several local departments say led them on a wild chase earlier this week will remain in jail for now.
James White, 22, made his initial appearance in Youngstown Municipal Court Friday afternoon. He was arrested Tuesday night after crashing his car into a pole near the state Route 711 connector and trying to run from Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers, police said.
Police said they started chasing White in Farrell, and the pursuit went through Trumbull County, finally ending in Youngstown. Troopers said White was found with heroin, cocaine and marijuana in his vehicle.
On Friday, White’s bond was set at $62,000.
White is facing several charges, including drug possession and driving under suspension.
