STRUTHERS, Ohio (WYTV) – Thirty-three kids gathered at St. Anthony’s banquet hall in Struthers on Sunday to play their last bocce game of the season.
The children range in age from three to eight years old, but they are already fierce competitors.
The league started in July and this is the second session. Organizer Brandy Jackson admits getting the idea off the ground took some work.
“We kicked around the idea of starting a kid’s league, and it has caught on immensely. It keeps growing every session…we get calls frequently about more kids and making it larger.”
Jackson says the games will resume in May.
