Brookfield Twp. crash knocks out pole, power

BROOKFIELD TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WYTV) – Ohio Edison crews has restored power to about 40 customers along and near Route 7 in Brookfield Township Monday morning.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol says a driver lost control on a curve in the roadway, just south of Stewart Sharon Road.

A nearby resident tells WKBN through the wkbn.com “Report It” feature that the pickup truck hit a pole, snapping it in half. That knocked out power to the immediate area. Full power was restored by 7:30 a.m.

The state patrol says the accident happened just after midnight on Monday. The driver was not injured.
