Warren business owner convicted of theft, failing to pay taxes

WARREN, Ohio (WYTV) – A Trumbull County jury convicted a Warren businessman on charges of failing to remit sales tax and grand theft.

Kevin L. Evans has been defending himself during the trial.

Prosecutors say Evans failed to report the sales tax liability on his business, K&C Quality Car Care in Warren, and had nearly $23,000 in unpaid sales taxes.

He was found guilty on 10 counts of failure to remit sales tax and two counts of grand theft. A sentencing date has not been set yet.
