Springfield’s Mincher breaks single-game scoring record

Springfield rolls as Mincher closes in on record

NEW MIDDLETOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – Graham Mincher added another line to his resume, with a 52-point performance in Springfield’s 82-72 win over Sebring.

The 52-point performance broke the program’s single-game record that was set by Dave Ohlin back in 1958.

The Tigers improves to 18-4 overall on the season, and have a bye in the Division III Sectional Semifinals.

Their tournament run begins Friday night in the Division III Sectional Finals at Salem High School.  Springfield will face the winner of Canton Central Catholic/Navarre Fairless.

Those two teams faceoff Tuesday night in the Sectional Semifinals.
