Lisbon’s path to district glory begins tomorrow

LISBON, Ohio (WYTV) – In Chris Huckshold’s seven years as the head basketball coach at Lisbon – he has seen his program go from a club which was only able to accumulate 8 league wins in 28 tries during his first two years (2009-10 & 2010-11) to an ITCL powerhouse which has averaged 20 wins overall throughout the last three campaigns.

Tomorrow, the top seeded Blue Devils will host Jackson-Milton (0-22) in the Sectional opener with hopes of reaching the Regionals for the first time since 1953.

Over the last three years, Lisbon has posted a 31-6 home record. In their 12 losses overall during that time span, the Blue Devils have had nine setbacks by 9-points or less.

This season has been a culmination of the hard work that their senior class has put forth over the years. Four players have accumulated 1,000-points during their four-year career at Lisbon.
