Commissioners: No decision made yet on lead in Oakhill water

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – Mahoning County Commissioners are still going over their options dealing with lead discovered in some recent water samples at Oakhill Renaissance Place.

Commissioners held their weekly meeting in Boardman Thursday morning.

They said they are working to correct the problems found last week, when four faucets came back with higher-than-normal levels of lead.

Although officials with the Ohio EPA said they believe the problem is with fixtures in the building, rather than water lines, Commissioner Carol Righetti said no decisions have been made yet as to how to address the problem, or how or when other county buildings could be tested.
