NORTH JACKSON, Ohio (WYTV) – Emergency workers were on the scene of a truck crash in North Jackson Thursday afternoon after a truck crashed and spilled its contents while getting off the turnpike onto Interstate 80 east.
The crash happened around 5 p.m. near the Meander Reservoir. A flatbed trailer carrying prefabricated metal lost control and turned over on the ramp.
The driver, Markovic Mitar, 28, of Illinois, had minor injuries from the crash.
The eastbound entrance ramp remained partially shut down while crews cleaned up debris on Thursday night. Just before 11 p.m. Thursday, it remained closed. It was expected to reopen by 11:30 p.m.
Traffic is diverted to Mahoning Avenue.
The crash is under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
