His departure marks the third straight offseason that the Penguins have had a key player leave the program.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – Jordan Andrews announced via Twitter that he is leaving the Youngstown State Men’s Basketball program after just one season.

He was recently named to the Horizon League All-Freshman Team after averaging 7.9 points per game.  He averaged 9.8 points per contest in conference play.  And

Andrews also set the YSU Freshman record for most triples in a season with 50.

His departure marks the third straight offseason that the Penguins have had a key player leave the program.  In 2014, Ryan Weber transferred to Ball state. He averaged 10.5 points for the Cardinals this season.

In 2015, Marcus Keene departed for Central Michigan.

YSU finished the 2015-16 season with a record of 11-21 overall, and 6-12 in Horizon League play.
