NEW MIDDLETOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – Frattaroli’s Sparkle Market in New Middletown will be permanently closing. A store employee confirmed that Sunday will be the last day the store is open.
The grocery store has been in New Middletown for 18 years. Owner Tony Frattaroli said it hadn’t been getting as much business recently.
Last month, community members organized a Cash Mob to encourage people to shop at the Sparkle Market to boost sales.
The store’s hours for its final day will be 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Signs outside of the Sparkle Market say some groceries will be sold at 40 percent off in a closeout sale.
