CANFIELD, Ohio (WYTV) – The Mahoning County OVI Task Force, in conjunction with Ohio State Highway Patrol, announced that an OVI checkpoint will be conducted in Youngstown on Saturday night.
It will be at 2155 Belmont Avenue from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.
The checkpoint, funded by federal grants, is planned to deter and intercept impaired drivers.
In addition, nearby saturation patrols will be conducted throughout Mahoning County this weekend.
OSP warns motorists not to drink and drive, and says they should make plans to get home safely.
