Key Losses: Ciara Rotunno and Destiny May are both gone from last year’s 12-win team. Rotunno hit .390 (23-59) with 5 doubles. May batted .312 (25-80) with 23 runs scored and six extra base hits (3 2Bs, 3 3Bs).

Key Returnees: Seniors Alisha Quinlan (OF/P), Michaela Gauding (C), KenYana Ashley (3B), and Alex Olek (OF) are all welcome back into the fold. Quinlan, a second-team all-conference selection, hit .362 (25-69) with 17 RBIs. Alisha threw 127 1/3 innings while accumulating an 11-9 mark with a 3.02 ERA. Gauding was able to bat a .421 average (24-57) with 7 doubles. Ashley finished 2015 with a .338 average as well (26-77). Brookfield’s junior class will be led McKenzie Drapola (2B/OF), who was a first-team all-league pick a year ago. Drapola batted .403 (29-72) as she compiled 11 extra base hits (5 2Bs, 4 3Bs, 2 HRs). Ella Simcox (OF) also amassed a .383 batting average by hitting safely in 23 of her 60 at bats. Junior Lauren Pesa (OF) is a two-time letterwinner as Josy Kirila, TaeYana Ashley and Tori Sheehan also return.

Outlook: The way Brookfield closed out the 2015 season, one must expect that to carry over in this upcoming year. The Lady Warriors return three 3-year letterwinners and a trio of 2-year letterwinners.
