Youngstown homicide suspect has court date Wednesday

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – The suspect in Youngstown’s most recent homicide will be in Youngstown Municipal Court on Wednesday.

Jermaine Bunn, 39, faces parole violation and other charges. By the time he gets into the courtroom, he may face charges related to the murder of Michael Pete, 30, of Youngstown.

Police found Pete on a front porch at 62 East Evergreen Avenue early Sunday morning, shot several times. He later died at Saint Elizabeth Medical Center.

Investigators say there was a gun battle between the two men. Bunn was released Monday from Saint Elizabeth after receiving treatment for a gunshot wound to the face.
