Dr. Shayesteh: Good bacteria and the gut

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – Gut bacteria was previously found to play a key role in a person’s life. Research now shows that it also plays a key role in how much a weight a person gains.

Harmful bacteria can multiply weight gain. The more harmful bacteria in the gut, the more fat can be produced in the same amount of calories in comparison to its effects on other people.
Having higher harmful bacteria also leads to chronic inflammation, eventually giving way to insulin resistance.

What are the easiest ways to reverse the types of bacteria in our gut? What foods are the most impactful?
Dr. Shayesteh joined 33 WYTV Daybreak to explain just how much of role bacteria plays in weight gain.
