YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – A man accused of plowing into a Boardman Police cruiser while drinking has been indicted on two felony and two misdemeanor OVI charges.
Gregory Fleischer admitted to drinking vodka before striking the police car on South Avenue in February, according to police. A blood-alcohol test following the crash showed that Fleischer had a .223 blood-alcohol level, which was nearly three times the legal limit, police said.
Police said a spilled drink was found in Fleischer’s car.
He was initially charged with OVI, open container and assured clear distance.
