Police: Broken glasses used as weapon in Sharon stabbing

The suspect is accused of leaving a six-inch cut on the victim

SHARON, Pa. (WYTV) – A man from Hermitage is facing multiple charges, including attempted homicide, following at stabbing in Sharon Wednesday.

Dylan Lee Neiswonger, 23, was charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault and reckless endangering after police say he cut another man about six inches from his back to neck.

According to a police report, Neiswonger got into a fight with another man about 8 p.m. in the area of Erie Street and Logan Avenue. The victim’s eyeglasses broke during the fight, and part of the frame was used to stab the victim on the right side of his neck.

The victim was initially taken to Sharon Regional Health System for treatment and later transferred to Saint Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown.
