Latara Barnett charged with felonious assault – Boardman, Ohio

BOARDMAN, Ohio (WYTV) – Boardman Police arrested a woman Thursday and charged her with felonious assault after it appeared she stabbed her boyfriend in the chest.

Latara Barnett, 28, is charged with felonious assault, domestic violence and burglary.

According to a police report, Barnett’s boyfriend showed up at St. Elizabeth’s hospital in Youngstown with a knife stuck in his chest. Barnett told police a different version of her interaction with her boyfriend at her apartment, saying they exchanged words but not acts of physical violence, the report stated.

WYTV was unsuccessful in attempting to reach Barnett for comment at two phone numbers listed on the police report for her.
