Rescue Mission volunteers enjoy appreciation lunch

The Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley says volunteers work nearly 25,000 hours each year

The Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley hosted an appreciation lunch for its volunteers.


YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – The Rescue Mission of Mahoning Valley showed appreciation for its volunteers with an open house on Saturday afternoon.

Current and past volunteers visited with staff members, toured the building, and enjoyed a short program and lunch.

“I was really surprised because I didn’t know this was going to happen,” said volunteer Sandi Love. “It is very nice of them to show the appreciation that we try to do each time that we’re here.”

The Rescue Mission says volunteers work nearly 25,000 hours each year.
