Crestview claims second straight ITCL crown

Crestview claimed the ITCL baseball title for second straight year with a 4-1 victory over United Local Tuesday evening.

COLUMBIANA, Ohio (WYTV) – Crestview claimed the ITCL baseball title for second straight year with a 4-1 victory over United Local Tuesday evening. The Rebels  improve to 14-2 overall and 7-0 in league.

Andy Gorby pitched 6.1 innings for the victory, while Tyler Hurd recorded the save by getting the final 2 outs of the ballgame.

Kaden Davis, Jeff Feo, Caleb Hill and Tyler Hurd plated runs for the Rebels with Davis gong 2-4 with a double, Hurd 1-3 and 2 RBI, and Devin Turvey had a sac fly in the 4th inning. Jake Wick lead off the sixth inning with a single that started a three run sixth inning.

Cade Wood, Parker Hydrick, Brady Leyman, Tyler Humphrey, and Colton Graham had hits for United Local. Hayden Wilson and Caleb Berdine kept the Rebels at bay most of the evening while throwing strikes throughout the game.

 

Crestview Hosts Jackson Milton Wednesday to finish a suspended game and then play another 7 inning game. Games beginning at 4:30pm.
