Firefighters called out to barn fire in Beaver Twp.

Firefighters were called to a barn fire at the Mennonite Dairy Farm in Beaver Township on Tuesday

BEAVER TWP., Pa. (WYTV) – Firefighters are at the scene of a barn fire in at Mennonite Dairy Farm in Beaver Township.

The fire was reported at 5:20 p.m. at 12983 Green Beaver Rd., according to the Beaver Township Fire Department.

The fire created very little damage but a lot of smoke.

Beaver Township Fire Chief Russ Osborne said a mix of manure and sawdust caught fire outside one of the barns and then ignited hay inside the barn. The wind fueled the fire, creating a lot of smoke.

There were cows in the barn when the fire started. One was lying on the ground injured.

The barn was not damaged, and no one was a hurt.
