YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – The prosecutors in a Youngstown murder trial say they will resume calling more witnesses.
Michael Austin and Hakeem Henderson are facing charges in the deaths of four men over the last five years.
Police believe they may have been behind the murders of Adam Christian, Raymond Hayes, Ryan Slade and Keara McCullough.
Along with four counts of aggravated murder, Austin is also charged with attempted murder.
Investigators say the pair acted as “enforcers” for a local drug ring.
In court Thursday morning, one witness testified that he overheard Austin bragging about one of the shootings while both were in the Mahoning County Jail.
On Tuesday, jurors toured a crime scene and heard opening arguments.
The trial is expected to last at least through the end of next week.
