YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – Every one of us has a little heartburn from time to time, that burning feeling down in your chest. It’s normal to have on occasion, but experiencing it several times a week can be serious.

If you experience heart burn more than 3 to 4 times a week, you may have a serious problem known as GERD. If you think you may have “GERD,” or Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease, you need to see your doctor.

In most cases, even with GERD, lifestyle and nutritional changes are the number one way to solve the problem of heartburn, even without needing medication.
