Youngstown traffic stop nets $3K and pills

Michael Williams was charged with drug trafficking in Youngstown, Ohio.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – A traffic stop in Youngstown early Monday morning netted over $3,000 in cash and prescription medication.

Police pulled over a vehicle just after midnight near Hillman Street and West Florida Avenue for not having a license plate light.

The officer discovered that the driver, Leah Miles, had a suspended license and that one of her three passengers, Michael Williams, 31, of Youngstown, had 70 Tramadol pills in a prescription bottle that did not belong to anyone in the vehicle. Police also found $3,400 in cash in Williams’ pocket,according to a police report.

Miles was issued a traffic citation and Williams was taken to the Mahoning County Jail where he is being held on drug trafficking charges.
