YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – A convicted Youngstown murderer was sentenced Tuesday morning for the death of Shaniece Wells in October.
Keith Sims, 27, will spend 18 years to life behind bars.
Sims was found guilty of murder last month.
Investigators said Sims shot and killed the 23-year-old woman during a fight at a home on E. Boston Avenue. Police said Wells was not believed to be involved in the altercation but had gone there to help break it up. She was the only one shot and later died from her injuries.
