1 injured in Youngstown motorcycle crash

No other vehicles were involved

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – A motorcyclist was injured Friday morning in Youngstown.

The accident happened about 6 a.m. on the westbound service ramp from Wick Avenue to Route 422.

Police say the driver lost control of the motorcycle. No other vehicles were involved.

Lt. William Ross said the victim, a 56-year-old man from Boardman, suffered serious injuries. He was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital’s intensive care unit. His name is not being released until family is notified.

The intersection at Wick Avenue and the westbound service road was closed for about an hour as crews worked to clear the scene.

The accident is under investigation.
