Issue with transformer cuts power in Campbell area

A problem with a transformer in their sub-station caused the power to go out for about 2,400 people

CAMPBELL, Ohio (WYTV) – About 800 Campbell residents are still without power, and will be for several more hours.

According to Ohio Edison, a problem with a transformer in their sub-station caused the power to go out for about 2,400 people in the Campbell area.

Ohio Edison was able to switch some customers over to another transformer, but there are still some who will need to wait several hours for the transformer to be fixed.

The Ohio Edison website will have updates on the outage.
