BOARDMAN, Ohio (WYTV) – All female veterans were invited to attend the fifth biannual free Women Veterans Health Fair sponsored by the Youngstown VA Outpatient Clinic volunteers on Saturday.

The outreach event featured speakers on various topics such as relationships, spirituality, using laughter and humor for a healthy life and women’s health and safety topics.

The event also featured a light breakfast and lunch, an instructor-led chair exercise and more.

The Health Fair took place from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Bethel Lutheran Church located at 425 Crestview Drive in Boardman.

“Being a female veteran retired from the Air Force, it just shows how many different women, different branches and the different ages that we’ve all served and the different periods of time when, over the years, a lot of people didn’t realize how many females did serve in the military,” said Lori Stone, a female veteran and VA volunteer.
