CLEVELAND, Ohio (WYTV) – The Republican National Convention will be held in late July, with Cleveland hosting it this time around.
That means thousands of visitors to Northeast Ohio and a big economic impact.
Donald Trump has enough delegates for the Republican nomination for president.
Republicans started out with more than a dozen candidates, Trump is the only one left.
“It’s always great to have a major convention. You’re talking about millions of dollars being invested into Northeast Ohio, hotels, you know, car services, food services, you know it has a huge ripple effect and it’s not just one or two days, it’s an entire week. And you’ll have national media here to really showcase some of the good changes that have happened in Cleveland,” said Congressman Tim Ryan.
