Youngstown woman indicted on charges related to steak knife stabbing

Cynthia Bland is charged with felonious assault

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – A Youngstown woman who police said stabbed a man with a steak knife as he was trying to retrieve his chicken has been indicted by a Mahoning County grand jury.

Cynthia Bland is charged with felonious assault.

Police said Bland stabbed a man at her home on Campbell Street in April after an argument. The man told police that Bland had accused him of cheating on her earlier in the day. The man said he left the home but returned to get his food that he left there when Bland stabbed him in the arm with a 4-inch steak knife.

He was taken to St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital for his injuries.

Bland denied the stabbing and when questioned about blood on her couch, she told an officer that it was from a steak.
