CANFIELD, Ohio (WYTV) – Even though they graduated Sunday, several Canfield seniors were back at school on Monday.
The former students participated in the first “Clap Off” at C.H. Campbell Elementary School, where elementary students lined the hallway to watch the seniors walk by in their caps and gowns. Teachers were also able to congratulate the graduates.
Second grade teacher Dana Zarlenga-Buist was visited by three of her former students on Monday. She says the Clap Off made her job feel even more rewarding.
“I’ve just seen them grow into beautiful young women. I wish them the best in their endeavors in the future, they’re just wonderful young ladies. Congratulations, girls!”
Canfield High School had 212 graduates this year.
