WARREN, Ohio (WYTV) – Two people reported being robbed while they were sitting in a car on Homewood Avenue in Warren.

The alleged victims called police just after midnight on Thursday. They said they were in the process of moving out of the place where they lived and were sitting in a parking lot behind the residence near Grandview Street when the robbery occurred.

They said they were approached by two men wearing bandannas on their faces. One of the men was holding what appeared to be a gun. The men demanded money and later fired a gun after one of the victims kicked it out of the robber’s hand, according to a Warren Police report.

One of the victims said the gunshots did not appear to be from a regular gun as they did not sound loud. The alleged victims managed to run away, but the robbers were not located, police said.
