Canfield Police Department experiencing phone line outage

A new IRS phone scam is targeting college students in mid-Michigan It’s targeting students at Michigan State University — the FBI won’t say how many exactly — but so far they’ve lost money, ranging from $1,500 to $3,000.

CANFIELD, Ohio (WYTV) – The Canfield Police Department Dispatch Center’s phone lines are down.

Police said the emergency 911 telephone systems are not affected by the outage.  If you have an emergency, you can still dial 911.

Residents of Berlin Center, Canfield, Damascus, Ellsworth and Green Township are asked to direct all non-emergency fire or medical-related calls to 330-702-1689.
