Youngstown State alumna releases debut suspense novel

POLAND, Ohio (WYTV) – June Summers, who graduated from Youngstown University and Rayen High School, will be returning to the area to debut her suspense novel “Let Freedom Ring.”

“Let Freedom Ring,” published by Wild Rose Press, is the story of Ken Driscoll, an account who receives phone calls from a boy claiming to be held hostage, but when he contacts the police, they inform him the boy was abducted 67 years ago and eaten by alligators. Driscoll is faced with a dilemma. Can he believe Avery, who sounds so convincing, or does he believe the police, who have proof of the death of the boy?

Summers will be participating in a book signing from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Poland Branch Library on June 25.

The signing is part of the Celebrate Poland Author Event , sponsored by the Friends of the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County.
