Man who crashed into Boardman Burger King indicted on multiple charges

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – A man who police said slammed his car into a Boardman Burger King has been indicted on several charges by a Mahoning County grand jury.

Anthony Williams is charged with felonious assault, failure to comply with the order of a police officer, OVI and possession of drug abuse instruments.

Police said William was believed to be under the influence of drugs when he crashed into the restaurant and later a police cruiser on May 10.

Two Boardman police officers were taken to the hospital for minor injuries.

Police said Williams was passed out in the car, parked at a laundromat at Hillman Way and West Midlothian Boulevard. Police said when they knocked on the window of the car, Williams looked up and floored the gas, causing the car to crash into the building.
