Rust Best Made hosts Makers Market to support small businesses

The goal of the market is to put on anywhere between three and five pop-up markets each year

The Rust Belt Made Makers Market took place at Trailside Bicycle Company and High Octane Coffee Company in Canfield.

CANFIELD, Ohio (WYTV) – A farmer’s market for local small businesses was held Sunday for people to shop locally and support small businesses.

The Rust Belt Made Makers Market took place at Trailside Bicycle Company and High Octane Coffee Company in Canfield.

The event has happened four times since it began about a year ago.

“Take pride in buying local and also buying from American made. And as I said, it could be something from the past so it’s handmade from craftsmen of the past that’s been re-purposed or recycled for the future,” said Jamie Jamison of Rust Belt Made.

She said the goal is to do anywhere between three and five pop-up markets each year, from Canfield and Boardman to Youngstown and Warren.
