YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WYTV) – The Mahoning Valley has a rich manufacturing history and now young kids are experiencing it first-hand.
The Summer Manufacturing Institute kicked off at the YWCA in Youngstown on Monday. U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown helped organize the five-day camp with the goal of getting the next generation interested in the field.
Fourth through sixth grade students are learning how things are made in the Valley and Ohio as part of the camp.
