WARREN, Ohio (WYTV) – Nancy Ruggieri sat in the Warren City Auditor’s seat for the first time at the council meeting Wednesday evening.
Ruggieri is the city’s long-time deputy auditor and replaces Anthony Natale.
Natale resigned on Tuesday after pleading guilty to a felony involving sending white powder to his former employer. Because his charge of conveying false information related to the use of a weapon of mass destruction is a felony, he was no longer permitted to hold a public office.
Warren Mayor Doug Franklin publicly thanked Ruggieri for taking the position.
