FARRELL, Pa. (WYTV) – A house was heavily damaged and is likely a total loss after a fire consumed a major portion of the structure.

Crews were called about 3 a.m. Monday to the home on Fruit Street. When firefighters arrived, the house was engulfed.

According to Farrell Fire Chief Bill Mortimer, the house was owned and insured but no one was living in it at the time of the fire, however, there were items stored in the house.
